This multi-stage whole home renovation began with a remodel of the family’s in-law suite. Once the R|R team began to design beautiful, comfortable, and functional spaces, more inspiration struck. Now nearly every corner of this charming multi-generational home; has been beautifully and thoughtfully reinvigorated, including the master bathroom, the children’s bedroom suites, two home additions, and the family’s new custom kitchen!
Creating a home design with spaces for this multi-generational family to live well meant striking a balance between expanding the shared living spaces and rethinking the individual rooms of this beautiful home.
The in-law and master suites were completed with skylights, Ann Sacks tile, and other strategic architectural details that helped to breathe new life into this colonial home. Next, additional children’s suites were added to the floor plan so that all three kids have their own space to grow.
The family’s kitchen was remodeled to open up the shared space for comfort and functionality and to modernize the home’s central gathering place. The eat-in counter seating and corner banquette areas now feature integrated Wolf appliances and gorgeous brass pendant lighting.
Additional living upgrades include a new basement, foyer, dining room, staircase, and an accommodating and functional garage space. In order to preserve the familiarity and charm of the family’s former living space, the exterior of these custom additions was finished using some of the original bricks.
Our Lakehill Court whole home renovation was intentionally designed so that every member of the family has a beautiful space to live, grow, and just be together. We’re thrilled to help establish this family in a neighborhood they love for many years to come.
