OVERVIEW

When you love your location, you have much more freedom to do what you want with your home. Our customers loved their location Wauwatosa location and decided to undertake a whole-house remodel.

The house was an original farmhouse in the area, built c. 1888, it had undergone a few remodels and additions in the past. Those were difficult to work with and most of it had to be removed. The customers appreciated the charm of old spaces however, so the new designs had to incorporate pieces that respected its history. They also appreciated the clean lines of a more modern aesthetic, so an eclectic mix was embraced.

Design

The final designs called for a 12’ addition nearly the entire width of the house. This allowed a new kitchen, dinette, mudroom, powder room and dining room on the first floor. A walkout back-porch was also incorporated through double French doors to invite everyone outside. The second floor also received an addition which allowed a new master bathroom, laundry, as well we a new guest bathroom and modest changes to all three bedrooms.

Extensive use of oak wood floors, porcelain and glass tile backsplash, Cambria countertops and backsplash, and custom made wood cabinetry allowed the new kitchen ease of use as well as gorgeous lines. A built-in wine dispenser is only envied by the built-in espresso machine. Vegetable drawers highlight a highly useful kitchen.

The master bathroom uses a daring mix of porcelain tile and marble to create a one-of-a-kind space that exudes beauty.
